Yvonne’s employment with Break began on 22/04/02, when she joined one of our new Children’s Homes as a Support Worker and she worked in this capacity until she was promoted to the role of Senior Support Worker on 19/11/04. Yvonne remained as a Senior Support Worker until she gained promotion to Deputy Manager on 28/01/05, a position which she held until 31/06/12. Yvonne was subsequently promoted to Manager of a Children’s Home from 01/07/12. Yvonne completed a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care in Children & Young People and also the Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People. Yvonne has been a regular attender at training and has received training on Safer Recruitment, Emergency Aid, Fire Safety and Norfolk Steps amongst others. Over the last twelve years Yvonne has proved a very loyal, committed and hard working employee, who was liked and respected by her colleagues and the staff she managed. Social work staff from the Local Authority also commented on how well she worked in partnership with them. Yvonne was very passionate about working with children and young people. She established and maintained good working relationships with all of the young people who lived at the Children’s Home and many of these relationships have continued long after the young people moved on.
