Beverley, nanny in Overton

Hi, my name is Beverley and I am a nanny with 11 years experience. I am a kind and caring person and I like spending time with children and seeing them grow and develop and expanding their interests. I have always loved children since I was young, and so took the opportunity to study childcare at college and from there, I decided that I wanted be a Nanny! I got my first Nannying position with a family with two children and went away on holiday with them and the children really took to me with my calm and caring nature. I did regular weekends with them and the family thought I was a natural with children and asked me for a full time position when their current Nanny was leaving. That was only the start of my journey into Nannying.

I'm looking for a nice family, who have an interest in my role as a Nanny looking after their child or children. I really believe in nurturing a child's interests and natural abilities and developing these through play and creativity, which helps to develop their self-identity and is rewarding to them, which in turn promote overall development and well-being. I am also extremely organised, and can do many things at once!

I have lots of imagination and creativity to share with a child through child centred play, such as music, dance, make-believe and art and crafts. I love to share knowledge, with a child, about the world around them. This would hopefully involve trips out in the local surroundings to explore, see all of the new things and gain experience in the community and nature.

In my spare time, I enjoy being creative, through cooking and baking, painting and drawing. I like to read and go for walks in the countryside and also attending short courses, as I love learning.

I am considerably experienced and have had many nanny jobs over several years and also worked in a preschool, so I am experienced in teaching sounds of letters and encouraging reading and writing. I also have a long history of babysitting, including over night stays.

The nanny roles involved full and part time care where I would take care of the children in their own homes including sole charge and proxy parenting roles, planning activities, routines and visits based on interests, learning and having fun through play. I have potty trained, dealt with fussy eaters, helped a four year old learn to swim and ride a bike and became part of the family.

I believe in healthy home cooked food and get the children involved as much as possible.

I received my CACHE Diploma in ChildCare and Education Level 3 in 2004.

I have recently renewed my paediatric first aid and have an up to date enhanced CRB check.

I have many other short course certificates relating to child care, including getting outdoors whatever the weather, healthy eating, child protection, speech and language, special educational needs and many more.
