Nadine, nanny in Perth

My name is Nadine, I live in Perth and I am currently working as an Early Childhood Practitioner but am looking to move into the private sector as a nanny.

I have had a number of various childcare roles, such as Play Assistant, Mother's Helper and Nursery Nurse, which have provided me with substantial practical experience of working with a wide age range of children and have been in my current role as Early Childhood Practitioner since August 2014. This builds on my work experience that I undertook as part of my NC and HNC in Early Education and Childcare from 2010 until 2012 at college. My experience has involved planning and implementing structured activities to support and develop children's learning, as well as engaging with the children in my care during free play periods so that they get the most out of their play. It has also involved encouraging and supporting the children in gaining self-care skills, such as toileting and self-feeding, preparing and serving a healthy and nutritious snack and supervising small numbers of children on my own. In all of my experiences of working with children, I have worked well as part of a team with other staff and parents, offering and receiving support, as well as discussing how best to support the children in my care.

I am passionate about working with children and always deliver a high quality service to children in my care. I enjoy building positive relationships with the children in my care and also having the opportunity to have an impact on children's lives and learning.

I am hardworking and helpful as a person, and am willing to undertake continuing professional development. I have a friendly manner and good communication skills, which come from working and interacting with a wide range of the public in all of my previous jobs.

I currently work mornings as an Early Childhood Practitioner but am looking for a post that would enable me to move into the private sector fully so that I would be available for both mornings and afternoons during the week. I am able to provide a covering letter and CV on request.
