Catherine, nanny in Quedgeley GL2

My name is Catherine and I am 19 years old. I have just finished a professional qualification through an apprenticeship at Tuffley Primary School in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Level 3 Extended Diploma. I also have a qualification in Children and Young People’s Workforce Level 2 NVQ, through another apprenticeship in Little Oaks Day Nursery.
I have 2 younger brothers and I looked after them regularly until they were old enough to look after themselves sufficiently.
I have previously provided occasional care for two little boys over the past two years, (5 and 7.)
I am best experienced with 4 and 5 year olds, as I worked in Reception class through my apprenticeship. I also worked with 2-3 year olds in my previous Nursery apprenticeship.
I can play piano and sing, and I am willing to perform and play with children via musical instruments and singing.
I am not the best at cooking but I am happy to do basic things such as breakfast, lunch preparation and cooking pre made food/ basic recipes. I am however very interested in baking and preparing delicacies and am more than happy to do that.
I am willing to clean up after children, change nappies, aid them to sleep and help them with food. I enjoy performing household chores although this will depend on negotiations made with parents.
I have had Level 3 First Aid Training, Phonics training, restorative behaviour practice and have picked up many behavioural management skills and techniques throughout my years as a childcare professional.
