Chanika, nanny in Redditch B97

I have had various work experience and placements in schools, nurseries, Children Centre’s and special schools, therefore have a lot of knowledge around the Early Years. I have always wanted to work with children since I was a little girl, and pursued my dreams of going to University and achieving a degree in Early Childhood. I am a very happy, enthuasitc yet hardworking person, and I enjoy working with others, however, also enjoy using my initiative and working alone. In relation to the person specification, I am qualified, experienced and knowledgeable in the Early Years, and able to communicate with various different people, in various situations. As I have worked as a Room Leader, and across my University experiences, I have communicated with people such as, Social Workers, Speech and Language Therapists, Parents, Children, Children Centre Workers, Nursery Nurses/Staff, Teachers etc. I will always give my best, and enjoy striving to be the best. I am empathetic, have good ICT skills, and I am very organised. I enjoy role modelling positive behaviour and language to children, and I agree in getting down to their level, and conversing with them clearly and positively at all times. I feel that children are very bright and intelligent and believe that by being in a nursery/school, can really help enhance their social skills and independence. I have knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, and planning activities to incorporate these. I strongly believe in children’s play, and feel as though this is the number one way for children to learn and experience essential life skills such as, sharing, turn taking, communication, facial expressions, making and forming relationships with others, being creative and many more! I am confident and calm at all times around children and parents, and I enjoy conversing with parents about children’s achievements and days at nursery. I have had experience with having my own key children, and forming positive strong relationships with both the child and their families. I am currently looking for a nannying position, if possible full time, but I am willing to go part-time for the right pay. I am happy, bubbly, and willing to do house chores if needed!
