My name is Fleur, I have one child who is now 18 and studying. I worked for many years as a foster carer while my daughter was growing up. Recently I became a nursery practitioner having gained my level 3 working with children diploma,
I love working with children watching them grow and develop and being involved in this as they become independent.
In the nursery I work at I became outdoor lead in the playground due to the creative ideas I put in place there.
All children love to explore whether its; a baby in arms watching what's going on around and laughing and giggling when you play with them for example with a baby gym, books, songs ; toddlers who love to climb making good use of the soft play cubes, toddlers and pre school love building and knocking what they built down while baby watch and laugh , babies show interest in what you've done for them. All ages in my experience love story telling and walks, swimming, older children seem more interested in going for bike rides, swimming, pictures, bowling and walks.
The babies and toddlers I looked after all enjoyed toddler groups ; this is where they interact, explore and learn to share.
I would now like to work with children aged birth-10 as I enjoy this age group and they are still in primary school, why I would like to be a child minder/nanny is because in my nursery I am responsible for 30 plus children and I miss not having that one to one attention you can give to a child or two.
