I have been a foster career for over 27 years. I have Two birth children and two foster sons, all grown up now. I have 6 grandchildren.
I managed a homeless hostel for over ten years and worked in an all male hostel afterwards for 6 years.
I have worked for Sheltered Housing in Grangemouth and Abbeyfield in Falkirk.
I am at present a Pastoral Care NightWarden at a private school in Ruthin, North Wales but plan to move back to Falkirk.
I would say I am a calm person and enjoy being around children. I can interact with them and take a genuine interest in their home and school activities. I encourage good behaviour and try to find the positives in difficult situations. I like reading swimming and getting outdoors. I love animals and also growing vegetables if I have the chance.
I believe in being able to listen and empathise with young people if they have any worries or problems.
