My name is Laura and I am a mum to two grown up children. My daughter is 21 and a nursing auxillary and my son is a 17 years old A level college student.
We have a lovely shiz tu dog called Oscar.
I love nothing more than planning a fun packed day that incorporates so much learning potential. Following the child's interests to support areas a child can find difficult is an excellent way for a child to be achieving in all the key areas.
I am a professional child support/ carer/ educator. With over 21 years of experience. I am very proud to say I have many great professional relationships where I became a part of the family although staying professional and child focused.
I am looking for a family who would like someone to care and support the children for the long term. Who would like someone who has good qualifications and experiences with great references. I have a good sense of humour and imagination where I am skilled at thinking 'outside the box' to achieve fun learning experiences. I have a calm, easy going attitude. I do like to plan and have a good routine as I feel this helps the children although spontainious fun opportunities are always good!
Activities are based around observations of the children and I work at extending the child's learning experiences during their activities. I do enjoy coming up with new creative activities including messy play and role play experiences such as building dens outside using the whole environment to our advantage.
