I am a caring individual who is looking to provide a service which goes above and beyond expectation. I am experienced in working with the newborn, for example nappy changing, sleep routine, bathing, feeding, providing support around breast feeding. I am passionate regarding the importance of play for learning and socialisation. I also have experience of the ages and stages of development, having worked within the health visiting team arena I have been party to providing support around weaning, potty training, routines, behaviour, attachment and positive parenting. I am a qualified infant massage tutor and qualified with Touch Learn. There is a vast amount of research to back up infant massage as being vital in supporting women who have mental health issues. This brings me nicely onto my current role of supporting mental health issues ranging across the mental health gammit in the perinatal period when mental health issues are often at their worst.
I would ideally be looking to work with a single child at a time but would be willing to care for a baby and another child up until they start school at 4 or 5 years of age.
To enable me to consider a position I would be required to give a months notice to my current employer. If this is acceptable I would be happy to discuss a mutualy agreed working contract.
