Giada, nanny in Summerstown

Dear Host Family,
My name is Giada, I’m 20 years old, and im from a beautiful Italian island, it’s called Sicily.
I live in London now and I work as an Au Pair with a beautiful family of 4. They have two children of 5 years old.
I have a lot of experience with children from 6 months till over 6yo.
I consider myself a girl with a lot of interest in learning, especially in improving my English and learning new cultures. I am a very cheerful, curious and responsible girl.
I love music, books, go outside for visit new places, cities, I love new adventures and play new sports.
The family should choose me as a nanny because, I love kids. Pure and simple. I could go on and give you all the cliche reasons why you should choose me, but I will try and refrain myself from doing that. I've been baby sitting my nephew and my friend's kids ever since they were born. So, I would like tell you that I have an extensive knowledge in taking care of babies and children. I am good at grabbing their attentions and I love spending time with them. When I have to baby sat all of them together, I know the importance of taking my time and giving them individual attentions that they needed. It is an essential step, in terms of their development. I like to engage them with different kinds of activities, whether it is in a form of making cookies, little handicrafts, dancing, singing, playing outside and experiencing natures, little magic tricks here and there. These are all the activities that you engage to them "learning by doing". This would then hopefully open up their mind to new things in their life. Reading is also one of my top ten activities to do with them. I will read books not just about fairytales but also how things works. In a more simplified way of course. Their safety is my utmost important priority. I will not leave them where I can't see them. Knowing kick boxing and I've been doing it for sometime now, would be a great advantage for the kids safety too. I would also try to teach them rules, the do's and the don'ts and I have to be stern and strict when they are making mistakes and guide them better next time. One of my strengths would be, having lots of patience with kids even when they have tantrums or being a little difficult. Being an open minded and adaptable, would also help me being a good nanny because it will expose the kids-conventional way of thinking. 1+1 = 2 but there are so many ways in order to get 2 as a result. For example, 1x2 = 2, 6/3 = 2 etc. Lastly, I am a very committed person when it comes to kids. Their needs will always comes first. When you have entrusted me as your nanny, I want to be the big sister that takes care of them and love them just like how a big sister loves their younger siblings. That is really important for me.
