Katharine, nanny in Sutton poyntz DT3

Hi, I'm Katharine , a 22 year old, fourth year medical student studying at Southampton University. I am a friendly, enthusiastic, hardworking and caring person. I have lots of hobbies, including playing musical instruments, such as the piano and saxophone, and doing lots of sports, like running, tennis, netball and watersports.

I am back for the Summer holidays from now (25th July) until the end of August, and would love to spend my summer looking after and caring for kids. I am more than happy to work as a day-time carer or babysitter and I have my own car, with 5 years of driving experience, to get to homes/go on day trips.

I have been babysitting since I was 14 and am still asked to babysit when I am back for my University holidays. I also have years of training and experience in leading children's streams in Church camps, with children aged 3-11, coaching tennis to children aged 4-7, and have worked as a teaching assistant on my gap year for children aged 11-16.

Additionally, I have worked with children through my medical degree and have taken a special interest in paediatric practice. This has also made me aware of key signs to look out for when children are feeling sick, and what to do in emergencies. Alongside my degree, I volunteer in primary schools to teach children how to be safe in their homes and what to do when they are feeling sick. I have also been trained in paediatric first aid and have a DBS certificate.

I love working with children, and want to continue to work with them when I qualify. I love seeing the joy on their faces when they are having fun, and truly believe I can help make great memories for their summer!
