Amy, nanny in Tolleshunt knights CM9

My name is Amy, I am honest, fun, enthusiastic and hard working. I find it very rewarding helping children to learn and develop. I enjoy the different activities working with children consists of, whether it be reading them stories or taking them to different groups helping them to socialise with other children. I like swimming, going for walks, spending time with friends and family. I have been driving for 4 years, I have my own car with a clean driving licence.

My Experience
I studied for 2 years in college for a Level 3 Cache Diploma in Childcare and Education. During this 2 year period I helped out in four different placements, helping care for 2-5 year old children in a nursery environment, two reception class placements within two primary schools and lastly, my favourite placement, helping a mother of 3 week old twins and a 2 1/2 year old in their home environment. Since leaving college, I went on to work in a nursery in a room with 2-3 year olds. I worked alongside parents in this time period, bringing home routines in to the nursery, for instance, encouraging potty training through sticker charts, arranging nap times for the children with the time limit stated by their parent and finally teaching children numbers and colours. I then went on to work in the 3-4 1/2 year old age group. This was different, however, still very rewarding seeing children you have helped to grow and development in your care ready to take the big step of going to school. When needed I also helped in the baby rooms. I am very lucky to have a big family with young children from 6 months - 14 therefore of who I see and care for regularly . This has given me good knowledge of all age groups.

My Qualifications
I have Level 3 Cache Diploma in Childcare and Education. I also had various training days in 2011 including:
- Play training
- Food hygiene
- Behaviour Management
- Basic paediatric first aid for child carers
I am the first aider in my current job.
