Hello! My name is Amanda and I am a current child care student but I am due to complete my course this June. I am looking to work with children of all ages, I do not have a favourite or a preferred area, I will be happy to work with any.
As a child carer, I am a young and bubbly girl who dresses brightly and can really show off a strong personality to children. I build quick rapports with children and I love to play games with them. If you are a parent that has a slight fear of mess, then a little heads up from me- messy play is my all time favourite! I am very responsible and I am willing to alter any of my own child care methods, to suit your own.
I have 200+ hours work experience across 4 different settings. Included in these hours are 6 months spent in Stepping Stones Nursery, for special needs. This has given me lots of experience around special needs children, meaning I am confident with mild disabilities. From this I have learnt a large range of Makaton which I find very enjoyable to use!
I do not drive but I am a life trained walker! I can walk any distance, and I am skilled with the bus timetable. This means that I am not going to let anybody down because I can not drive myself, I will always do my very best to be punctual and reliable. It says in my availability that I am not free until late May. However, I am free any evening, Mon and Tues afternoons, Sat nights and Sunday day time in the mean time.
