Samantha, nanny in Washington NE38

Hi there my name is Samantha (Sam) I have recently moved in with my boyfriend who lives in the Washington in the Newcastle area. So I am currently looking for nursery work in that area. I'm not sure who the best person to contact is. But if you can help at all I would be grateful. I can also forward my CV if you need it.
I qualified as a Nursery Nurse in 2003 and have 11 years of childcare experience. I have previously worked in two private day nurseries in the Watford area. I have worked as a Children Centre Assistant in a local Children Centre. I am currently located in a day nursery as Senior Nursery Nurse/Room Leader for the 2-3 room.
I adore working with young children and have wanted to do this since I was at Primary School.
As I have worked in private nurseries in the past I have very good knowledge of the EYFS and curriculum development. I am very comfortable with having key groups and keeping progress records on the individual children. I love doing learning journals on the children and a keen photographer. I have done many journals in both my nursery settings and also still doing them now in my children centre role.
I am very familiar with planning and paperwork that goes with the role. I keep up to date with record keeping and all paperwork as best as I can. I have worked with a couple of special needs children in my nursery settings and I’m very aware of equal opportunities policies and health and safety.
I am very comfortable working and communicating with parents/families. In my current role I work very closely with the parents/families everyday as we run a lot of parent involvement courses as well as running play sessions for the children.
I work very well in a team and also independently too. I am willing to take part in any training that is offered to me. As I am keen to learn and update my knowledge and skills.
I have excellent IT skills as in my current role I am on the computer a lot of the time doing Case Studies on families and keeping attendance registers up to date. One of my main roles at my last setting was keeping our database up to date with our latest session programmes.
One of my favourite roles is that I am in charge of all the display boards in our children centres. I’m a very creative person and love doing the display boards. I also have the job of updating the parish council notice boards in and around the area too. Making sure all the up to date courses/sessions are advertised well.
I have a full driving licence and have my own car to travel to and from work.
I have just started a nanny role in jesmond. During the holidays I work Mon, Wed and Thurs 10-4. So I am free on the inbetween days and in the mornings/evenings. From sept I will be doing everyday apart from wed 8-4:30. So again will be free on the non nanny days and I'm the evenings.
