I am looking to start a career to work with children and help to build their knowledge and confidence in an positive and healthy environment. I feel that my personality is a good fit for this type of role as I am naturally inquisitive, good with people, and have a natural empathy. I am very conscientious, dependable and driven.
I am very confident to work with children on a one to one basis and also in groups. I have grown up around young children and have always been drawn to a vocation with children. I have a niece who is just under 2 years of age. I spend a lot of time with her and have done since she was born.
As I have spent time around young children, I am very familiar with local groups and organisations that are available for children to help them learn and play.
I have studied a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care and finished my two year course with three Distinctions. The course was made up of 22 units, many which related to young children and families. Some examples of units that I have studied are Nutrition, Development Through Life Stages, Caring for Children and Young People, Physiological Disorders and Safeguarding and Promoting Independence.
I have also completed three work placements in various different settings. I was placed in a nursery, a school and within an office with children and family workers. I have also volunteered in schools and nursery's to gain additional experience.
I have grown up with my mum working in a similar field to this, working as a doula, midwife and also working in a children's centre. It has helped me to understand the importance of supporting parents when bringing up children.
I have a clean Full UK driving licence and my own car to allow me to get around with children.
I would love for you to consider me for the role you are advertising and it would be great to hear from you with some feedback.
