Extensive experience working as both a private Nanny, for example providing school holiday care, regular weekly care and ad hoc babysitting. Also have experience of working in a Nursery setting and currently work part time flexi hours with a wildlife charity that works with children.
Finishing a degree in Psychology (BSc) which I started at Durham university but am completing through long distance study, will be fully complete by October 2015 and I am hoping to pursue a career working with children and putting my psychology knowledge into practical use.
I am a very creative, active, caring person. I have many animals and enjoy spending alot of time outdoors; I like to encourage children to also enjoy outdoor play and realise its benefits.
I also enjoy engaging children in art based activities, from painting and drawing to clay model making for example, as I myself am extremely creative. I am a good cook and particularly like to bake alot! This is also something I like to get children involved (both the baking and the eating parts!)
I also am good at helping with reading practise, all the way through to secondary school 'homework help' and have a varied knowledge of most of the basic subjects - my consistently top grades throughout my education mean I find I can normally help out!
I am ideally looking for part time hours locally so I can continue to finish my degree whilst balancing getting more practical experience and enjoyment from working with children.
