Karen, nanny - KA3 Kilmarnock

Hello!

My name is Karen and I am a 21 year old student studying at the University of the West of Scotland studying Commercial Music. I have a lot of free time this year and would love to help a special family with their children.

I have only had a brief experience with kids in a short placement in a nursery where I was required to look after children from 3-4 year old's. In that time I found it very easy to bond and play with the children and simply loved spending time with them. I had to ensure they had fun in a safe environment and aided them in their early learning process.

Following this brief placement I haven't had the opportunity to take care of children again. However, I am a very patient and friendly young woman who is very responsible and would be perfectly capable of taking care of the needs of children of any ages.

As a musician I can sing and play a small variety of instruments (e.g. piano, clarinet). I am also particularly good at English and achieved an A in my Highers and could definitely help with a variety of homework tasks. I am also a keen baker and love getting my hands messy in the kitchen so would be happy to help kids make tasty treats for themselves (and their parents). I can cook fairly well so preparing meals for children would be no problem. I also have my drivers licence so I can pick up and and drop of children anywhere that would be required and if permitted take children on day trips to fun locations.

Having the chance to gain more experience with children would be very beneficial for me personally as I am very child orientated and see myself having children of my own in the future. I would greatly appreciate your consideration, thank you.
