I am an enthusiastic, ambitious person who has developed a mature and responsible approach to any task I undertake or situation I am presented with. I can excel in working with others to achieve a certain objective in a timely manner and with quality. As a problem solver, I am driven to produce excellent results in every task and enjoy the challenge presented by new assignments. Some of my work experiences have involved working within a team based culture involving planning, organisation, co-ordination and commitment. I am self-motivated, able to work unsupervised and under pressure in demanding environments, using my own initiative.
I work with babies aged 6 weeks to 18 months. Any information that should be acted on, I pass on to parents and I understand the need to work in line with policies and procedures regarding any accidents/incidents. I have completed my SVQ level 3 ahead of time and recently managed a team meeting which meant I carried out an informative talk in front of my fellow colleagues and also provided a leaflet with information.
As well as working with babies, I also have 1-year experience of working with the preschool age of 3-5 years. I am aware of the curriculum for excellence and how to refer to it.
I have been to various training courses, such as ‘EQUATE pre-birth to 3’, ‘Child Protection, ’ ‘Loose Parts’, ‘Allergy Awareness’ and ‘Food Hygiene’.
I am also a fully qualified first aider for children and adults.
I hold a full, clean driving license and my own car.
I am IT literate in all areas of computing including Microsoft word and power point, I also have a standard grade computing grade 3.
I enjoy going to the gym to keep fit. Music is also a fundamental aspect of my life. I enjoy listening to various genres of music and frequently perusing new artists as well as often attending concerts and festivals with my friends.
