Catherine, nanny in Lisburn city

My name is Catherine, I am 21 years old, and I live in Lisburn. I am currently going into my second year of studying towards a part-time degree in Early Childhood Studies at Stranmillis. I have been working with children for nine years when I began helping out at a local Cub-Scout Pack, before becoming an Assistant Cub Leader. It was this experience that drew me to a career of working with children and doing what I can to support their development. I am currently working in a day care and have experience working with children from 4 months to 12 years. I completed a placement year in a local nursery school and provided emergency relief cover whist there. I enjoy working with all ages of children and enjoy doing as wide a range of different activities with them such as messy play, outdoor activities, cookery and many more.
Outside of work I have a love for outdoor activities. Besides being an Assistant Cub Leader, I am a volunteer warden at Crawfordsburn Scout Centre and am trained to take on site activities which I do monthly.
I have a love for baking and enjoy doing cookery with the children in my current employment.
I have qualifications in Pediatric First Aid, Child Protection, and Managing Positive Behaviour.
