Hello!
I'm Lorna, a 25-year-old who works as a learning support assistant and is particularly passionate about SEND provision and helping children to grow up safe, happy and healthy both within and outside formal education.
I speak fluent English and Welsh and I'm learning Italian slowly - I have a degree in History, I'm a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant and have recently trained in Early Years with Teaching, Child Mental Health, and Child Anxiety and Confidence, among other training and experience.
I'm an eccentric and somewhat introverted person, but I'm passionate about children's welfare and happiness, and if they smile? That's good enough for me! I love to read, write, practice yoga, study modern languages, and watch films. I also like being outside in nature and spending time with my dog, as well as visiting historical/cultural places.
I'm compassionate, hardworking, friendly, and eager to learn 'on the job', to pick things up from the children as well as for me to hopefully teach them something too.
I'm willing to act as a tutor for the children in areas they may be struggling with and also teach them social skills such as tolerance, recognising the beauty of diversity, and how to respect people from different backgrounds to theirs.
Occasional babysitting | $5.50 per hour |
Partial / after-school care | $7.50 per hour |
Home nanny | $8.00 per hour |
I want to ensure that childcare is affordable, therefore I will charge no more than £5 an hour for babysitting, and a small increase after that for part-time and then full-time care.
