Roisin, nanny in Londonderry

My name is Róisín , I am 20 years old and I am looking for a childcare job in the cityside area, I have completed Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Childcare Learning and development at NWRC. In my time at NWRC I had 100% attendance and good punctuation and was also up to date with all my assignments and received good feedback from my tutors. I attended placement twice a week as part of the course and these placements included Primary/Nursery School, Special needs & crèche. I really enjoyed my time in placement as I was able to expand my knowledge on the needs of the children. My role in placement was to be able to carry out age appropriate activities, carry out observations and help children who have learning difficulties such as language development & reading and writing skills. From doing voluntary work in local summer schemes I was able to work with children from age 4-11 I gained communication skills & confidence by doing activities with the children and working as a team member, I worked with children from different backgrounds and was able to teach the children about different cultures and made them feel included. I was able to see each child develop their personalities and becoming more independent. I am very enthusiastic and a highly motivated person. I am also very reliable, responsible and hardworking. I have a very positive personality and also very outgoing and friendly, I am also an Irish speaker and have received both silver and gold fáine’s. I have also completed a First Aid course through NWRC as part of my course.
