My name is Rhian and I'm nearly 20 years old.
I enjoy looking after young children and supporting them to grow and develop. I love babysitting my little cousins and family friends children. Unfortunately I don't have a full driving license yet, so I am restricted to, but happy to use public transport or to walk. I've worked in two different nursery settings since 2012, one being a private nursery working with children from 8weeks to 5years old and the other a school nursery working with nursery and reception age children (3-5 years).

WORK EXPERIENCE AND VOLUNTARY WORK
May 2014 – Dec 2014Dunstable Icknield Lower School, Burr Street, Dunstable LU6 3AG.
College work placement working in a lower school with nursery and reception aged children. Here I developed my childcare skills, knowledge and understanding. I also got the chance to see the differences between a school nursery setting and a private nursery setting. Working here made me realise how important and helpful it is to have an organised team and setting. I supported other staff at snack times and helped to supervise and support children in both indoor and outdoor activities and routines as well as helping to ensure that children stayed safe at all times.
Sept 2012 – Apr 2014Clever Kidz Nursery, Tithe Farm Road, Houghton Regis LU5 5JB.
Here I worked voluntarily in a 0-5 nursery environment delivering childcare. As well developing a variety of childcare skills this work has also led me to understand the importance of safeguarding, hygiene and health and safety.
Sept 2007 – Jul 2010Farley Junior School, North Drift Way, Luton LU1 5JF.
Voluntarily helping out in two year 3 classrooms I carried out classroom assistant duties including assisting children in learning; organising & preparing activities (individually & in small groups); playground duties; displays; reporting back progress and any other tasks the teachers asked me to do.
