Thomas, nanny - NE1 Newcastle upon tyne

My name is Thomas, I am 23 years of age. I can currently working as a careers adviser for the National Career Service, however, I'm looking for a new challenge. Prior to working as a careers adviser I worked as a Teaching Assistant in two middle schools and completed a 2 weeks work experience in a first school. During my time as working as a teaching assistant I was able to develop some transferable skill that I believe would be perfect to work with families and children.

My duties as a teaching assistant included; running a cookery and after school homework club, supporting the development of children useful a range of techniques, working with a wide range of education needs including; social and emotional difficulties, ausitm, dyslexia, dyspraxia, anxiety, looked after children and children with mild to severe behaviour problems.

During my times as a teaching assistant and my current role, I believe I could bring to this role; experience, empathy, enthusiasm, fun and great support for the family.

I love cooking so if you needed someone to support you in the kitchen, this is something I would be very willing to do, my speciality at the minute is chilli con care. I also enjoy baking so would very much enjoy baking cakes in the kitchen with children.
