Hi! I'm looking to find a lovely family to nanny for. I have had the experience of working with children 0-4 years during my time working in a private nursery.

In September 2010 I started working in a private nursery as a Nursery Assistant. I worked in all of the rooms within the nursery, each room having a different age group. To do this I had to be able to pick up the daily routines and carry out procedures to an excellent standard. Each group has different a routine. I worked well with all the staff, picking up instructions quickly and using my initiative when necessary. In July 2012 I gained my Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development and in August 2012 I was given a permanent contract with Jesmond Nursery. In August 2012 I began working in the baby room (0-12 months) and in August 2013 moved up to the next room working with slightly older babies (12-16 months). I enjoy the variation of activities I am able to carry out with the different aged children. I also take the lead role when we have cover staff working with us. I had a group of key children and enjoyed building strong and positive relationships; not only with the children but the parents, passing on information and general chat about the children. I keep up to date files on each of my key children, monitoring their progress in picture and written observations which are completed each month. Each year we have two parents’ evenings. Parents were able to talk to me about their child and look at the children’s files. In nursery we were required to do a plan for the week ahead with various activities for children to enjoy and help with all aspects of their developments. I loved planning out door activities, messy or creative play and food play etc.

I began working with a family in September 2014 caring for a now 8 and 9 year old. This included school runs, preparing meals, taking children to their usual clubs and after school activities.

Since September 2015 I have worked with another family the children are aged 2, 6 and 8 years old. I plan activities both during the day with the youngest child (who has cerebral palsy) this includes attending various Physio classes. I do school drop off and pick up for the older siblings, take them to any activities and plan outings and activities for after school.

I have recently completed a Paediatric First Aid training course and other essential training such as safeguarding children and equality and diversity.

I also babysit.
