Leanne, nanny in Nether stowey

My name is Leanne hill.
i am looking for a full time nanny position. i can drive and have been driving for 6 years with a clean liscence ( touch wood) I have 8 years of working childcare experience in total. The ages of the children I have worked with start from the age of birth to 8 years old. I have always grown up and looked after children including babysitting and crèche duties and looking after my niece and nephew aged 1 and 5 and i take them swimming and on outings and groups etc.. I am currently working full time at a school/nursery. My current setting is a small 24 place nursery and i work well withing the school. I first of all worked in the baby room in my previous setting for 4 and a half years looking after the bsbys routine and care and learning development, i love the baby age and have a lot of experience and I have also worked with the two to three years olds and and have worked in this room for 18 months and really enjoy it and have learnt so much and gained a lot from it. I am nvq level 2 and 3 qualified.
I absolutely love working with children .I would love to share my abilities and experience in your setting and also to gain experience and extend my abilities. I think it would be wonderful to be working with as a nanny as this can offer so much exciting enjoy helping to develop and stretch children’s imaginations to create their dreams and wishes and helping them to achieve what they wish by supporting and encouraging them. I find working with children very rewarding seeing them grow into individual unique little people with a fulfilling future. I look after the children everyday by taking care of their needs and welfare I support them through potty training, learning about their emotions, eating habits, healthy eating, emotional support, having fun and letting them learn about themselves and the world around us and I have lots of experience of how to work with children with different behaviour issues and how to turn it into a positive and strategies to work around with the child and their families. I also believe in learning through sensory and messy play too and have a lot of activities and fun games to help implement this and the learning experiences gained from this for example jelly play, gloop – corn flour, baked beans, foam and custard play the list is endless and this can be implemented inside and outside. In my current role indoors and outdoors is free flow so I am accustomed to being out in all winds and weathers and enjoying it. We plan our activities and take them outside and have so much fun and you can see how much the children get from learning and playing outside as now a days sometimes the only outside or garden play is a trip to the park as many houses do not have gardens so it’s lovely to be able to provide these opportunities to these children and families,
My current role encourages me to be an excellent communicator both verbally and written. I work well in my team and worked out the ratios and sometimes I would sort out the lunches i.e. getting the staff to have their breaks and lunches. I work in other areas if the staffing has changed due to a person being off sick so I am eager and happy to go to other areas and rooms to help, I am confident that I work very well on my own as well as part of a team I feel that working together can bring a big difference to how a child’s learns and develops. I believe consistency for a child is crucial to many forms of constructive strategies and I think that by experience having a good healthy relationship with key families and in general children and their families is the key for a positive way forward and working together to make a better way ahead for the child understand the importance of confidentiality and positively manage these situations in everyday situations. I follow the policy and procedures of confidentiality as I know it contributed to safety and welfare of the children and their families.
I will always use my initiative and if I am not sure I will always ask. I am highly motivated and enjoy the activities planned for the children and activities that take place. I am enthusiastic about my job and the children in my care. I am bubbly, fun and happy, i enjoy trying new things and am constantly thinking of ways to improve and further myself in different aspects. and have been told by few of the parents that I have cared for their children that “ I go further and above to do not just my job as I always make it personal to the child and families “. I am good at time keeping; I can meet deadlines I work very hard. I am not one to sit down and not do anything I am very active but when a child wants you to sit and listen I do exactly that. I am flexible to work the shifts required.
