Sophie, nanny in Newcastle upon tyne

My name is Sophie, I am 24 and I am currently looking for a full time nanny position to start ASAP. I am DBS checked and have loads of experience looking after children aged 6 months -13 years. I have child-minded for the past 10 years and have taken sole responsibility for taking children to and from school, making them food, playing with them and bed time routines.

I have a fun loving character, trustworthy, reliable and fun. My other passions are sport and travel. Keeping fit and maintaining a healthy diet is a very important part of my life and my daily routine includes either running, swimming or attending a cross fit training club. I would always encourage children to have an active lifestyle as I see it as being important for their mental and physical wellbeing.  I am always looking for ways of developing myself and intend to enrol on a first aid course.

I adore travelling and have always had a great sense of adventure. At the age of 16, I enjoyed spending a month in Thailand & Laos as an independent traveller with World Challenge. In my second year at University, I elected to do a 7 month international exchange to the Royal Melbourne Institute for Design & Technology, which broadened my horizons and allowed me to extensively tour Australia.  I have also been fortunate to travel widely across the World with my family and friends.

One of my lifelong passions has been looking after and caring for children.  As soon as I turned thirteen, many friends and family approached me to be their reliable babysitter, because they appreciated my warm and friendly nature and my natural ability to develop fantastic relationships with children.  Throughout school and university I maintained my regular child-minding and babysitting jobs and entertained children whilst parents were working in the school holidays. Parents have always trusted me implicitly with their children and recommended me to others. I have never let anyone down, I always arrive at the specified time and carried out any requests that parents have made and kept children in their routines for meal times, play times and of course bed time! Rest assured, I would take the care and responsibility of looking after there children very seriously, always giving them my undivided attention to ensure their safety and to make sure they are happy and stimulated at all times. My loyalty to the family would be clear from day one and my commitment to providing a caring and loving environment will always be my aim.
