Hello, My name is Sophie and I love children! I have young children in my family and I really enjoy looking after them whenever I can. Everyone always says that I am amazing with children. I have qualifications as a child carer as I did it for 2 years in school. I had an A*. My childcare work was sent of to a professional childcare examiner and was selected the best in the class/school. I believe I would be perfect for the role of a child carer as I am a very loving and friendly individual and will always put the child first before anything. I will always put their needs before mine which I think is really important for a child carer. I know when my attention and care is needed and I will be there 100% whenever the child needs me. I have had a lot of experience in handling babies, feeding, changing nappies etc so I think I would be good at the younger ages too. After all of my GCSE'S I then went onto Sixth Form and was studying Level 2 Health and Social care which includes children too. I think I know everything I need to know when looking after a child. Your child will always be in safe hands. I have experienced quite a few activities with children which I would love to share with you. My partner has 4 siblings, 3 sisters and 1 brother. They are Olivia who is 5, Leon who is 4, Emily who is 7 and Katelyn who is 11. I absolutely adore them and love looking after them. Olivia, Emily and I always play doctors with their stuffed animal toys. They give the animals names and we go through what is wrong with the animal and which part of their body is injured. Its a simple game but its really fun and they enjoy it, so its something that I could possibly do with other children. Also we love to play house, Olivia is always the mum. So she shows me how mature she can be only at the age of 4. Its so fun and amazing to watch them explore their imagination! As Katelyn is older, and near enough a teenager she is into the sort of stuff I am into like Nails and Beauty and Fashion. She has her own Nail parlor in her room and I asked her to create me a flyer as if she was opening her own shop. I also asked her to show me some of her designs and to see if she could use her imagination to think of anymore. Leon is the only boy and I thought i'd find it difficult to communicate or to bond with him but I came up with a lot of different activities that we could do. These included doing role plays and dances. Christmas lists, Drawings and writing. I told him to write his mum a poem which I helped with and sent a picture of it to his mum over text. She thought it was a really good idea to do that as its always nice to know what your child is up to whilst your in work or you're not there. I would make sure your child is having an amazing time but also is behaving himself. I have experience with cooking with children as I made cakes with my friends cousin who is 5. I made sure she had an apron on and washed her hands after and before handling any of the ingredients and made sure she was safe during cooking. I am always aware of the dangers that are around certain areas E.g the kitchen. I could go on and on about how much fun I have with children and what activities I could come up with but this would be about 100 pages long! I just hope you see potential in me to look after your child. Thank you for taking the time to read this and hope you are impressed.
