I am a creative person, who loves to make things.
I am also a creative thinker, so can invent new things to do or novel solutions to problems.
I also have a wide educational experience, so can tutor in most subjects. Also being rather arty, I am excellent in aiding with school projects. Alas, I am not much of a sports person, but love to be outside and enjoy nature. I love puzzles and books.
I am hard-working, conscientious, sensible and loyal.
I can stay calm in the midst of chaos, and be flexible, adapting to any task.
I don't play favourites and enjoy discovering the differences which make up each child.
I enjoy the wonder that children bring to the world, ensuring that each day is different.
My experience: As the oldest sibling of our family, I took an active role helping to raise my three younger siblings. My mam also ran a childminding service when my brothers' were growing up, so I helped out there too. As my mam was also a Brown Owl in the Brownies, I helped out by being the chef on pack holidays! For the past nine years or so, I have been working in a boarding school, initally in the 6th Form House, but then based in the Junior Boarding House. When you live and work with children on a daily basis you get great experience dealing with problems large and small, as well as enjoying watching them grow up. My main achievements in the boarding environment were the creation and organisation of Un-Birthday Party (as boarding students miss out on the simple pleasure of a birthday party) and supported prep for those who may need a little extra help. Being highly organised, I also had extra roles organising all the travel for the boarding students and also all the compliance data for the UKVI. I was also chosen to create and run a summer school for 25 primary students from Mainland China to enjoy a British Experience, with lots of arts and crafts to take home! Since I left that job, I have been helping out in my mam's craft supplies shop, especially with the children's workshops.
I am currently in the process of setting up an Esty store to sell my handmade creations!
