My name is Peter and I am 19 years old. I am currently studying at the University of Brighton on the Hastings campus coming towards the end of my first year, where I will be returning home to Waterlooville on the 12th May for the summer. The degree I am studying for is Education and English Literature, as afterwards I would like to become primary school teacher, I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I am looking for daycare and babysitting jobs over the summer, as I love working with children and thought it would also be good experience to put on my CV. I have unofficial experience with children, as I have babysat for my youngest cousin a few times who is 1, and also have a very good relationship with my youngest brother, Edward, who is now 9. If I needed a reference, Edward would give me a good report! He's my world. I taught him to swim and also spend a lot of time playing with him whether it be on the trampoline, playing with his Nerf guns or Lego or just chilling and watching TV with him and often get told I'm good with him and other children in general, my girlfriend is always saying I'd make a good dad! I am friendly and always try and make children smile or talk to them if they're upset. Being male it's hard to get a job like this but it would mean the world to me if I could get any sort of job in childcare. I also have a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification so know first aid and living on my own during term time I can cook and clean if this helps as well. Please do get in touch, I am free from the 12th May onward :)
Occasional babysitting | $7.00 per hour |
Home nanny | $8.00 per hour |
I'm not sure what a normal price for this kind of work is but I don't believe it has to be extortionate as it would be a job I'd love to do over the summer. Being at uni I am trying to save for my second year starting at the end of September so I can't go really cheap but I don't want to overcharge!
