Amy, nanny - PR1 Preston

Coming from a large family and looked after my cousins (from infants up), I've been around children all my life, and despite not having any formal childcare qualifications, I have a wealth of experience. As well as being a babysitter for children of all ages, I have also been an early-years performing arts teacher for a number of years, and similarly for children and adults with SEN. This was a very rewarding and engaging experience, having allowed me to bond with all sorts of children, assess their different needs and helped them to learn new skills and express themselves creatively, gaining in confidence, as well as providing a level of pastoral care. Additionally, I have been an academic mentor for children up to GCSE level in a range of subjects and enjoy helping each child reach their potential and gain confidence. Recently, I am returning to Preston after a brief placement as an au-pair looking after three year old twins in France. I am a confident, reliable and responsible caregiver, who enjoys engaging children in creative activities and watching them grow as individuals.
