Chantel, nanny - RG1 Reading

I studied at a prestigious nannying school for the elite of nannies and gained a qualification in child care and a Chiltern Nanny award. I am a fun, easy going, energetic, approachable and caring person who has a great deal of experience in childcare. I possessing excellent communication skills and have empathy for children and I am good listener, who is level headed and patient. I am able to work to an excellent standard under considerable pressure whilst presenting a positive image to others. I am extremely determined and give a 110% to everything I do with a smile on my face. I provide a safe, happy, active and fun atmosphere for all ages.

I have had 5 years’ experience in varies settings which include proxy parenting, nannying, babysitting, nursery work, teacher assistant in a primary school and I also worked in Great Ormond Street Hospital as placement play therapist. I have worked with children from birth-16 years old. I have extensive knowledge the different ages and stages and how to develop certain areas through play and activities. I also have an extensive knowledge on food allergies and intolerances and alternatives that can be used instead. I am also qualified in cooking/nutrition, sleep training, behavioural management, MAKATON, national lifeguarding, swimming with children, paediatric first aid, baby yoga, Epi pen trained, music with children, sewing and making objects and much more. I have made several items such as weighted blanket, play mat, recipe book (birth-18 years old), activity book, game, music bag etc.

My interests include, clothes making, knitting, photography, swimming (leisurely and as a lifeguard), reading, arts and crafts, cooking, making things and most of all looking after children. I have always had an interest and natural talent with children and looking after their care and developmental needs.
