Lauren, nanny - RH12 Horsham

Hello, my name is Lauren and I am 23 years old (nearly 24).

I am looking to help any mothers that need ad-hoc or regular care for their children. I am available Tues - Sun.

I am happy to look after your children in your home or in my own.

I believe I am an honest, reliable, bubbly and trustworthy character with huge amounts of patience and energy. I love to play silly games, go for long walks or to the park getting muddy, as well as sitting indoors doing puzzles, reading books or drawing.

I have grown up with two younger siblings which are 7 and 8 years younger than me, so I have spent most of my life being their entertainer and a second had for my mother. Last year my mum also adopted a 2 year old and again I am always as hands on and helpful as I can be.

I worked in a nursery for about 11 months after volunteering in Rwanda and realising just how great kids are, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the nursery working with ages 0-5 and I only left as it was too far to travel. From that job I managed to land myself a nannying job for a 2 and 4 year old. I was in sole charge of these children, school drop-offs and pick-ups, dinner, playdates, homework help, bedtime routine and all other activities.

I then went and volunteered in Lewisham, London with all ages. Ranging from 2 years in a Kids Church up to secondary age SEN children. I offered 1-2-1 support in the schools and we also ran exciting, inclusive lunch clubs.

I now nanny on a Monday for two primary school aged children. I have sole care of them. Again I have to drop-off and pick-up from school and run errands around the house and the town. I have to batch cook healthy meals for them, take the to their clubs and bedtime routine. We enjoy our time together.

I am always happy to be silly with the children when it is appropriate but equally happy to set boundaries when needed.

I stick to the parents rules whilst the children are in my care and this includes discipline being kept the same.
