Alice, nanny in Rhodesia

Hello,
My name is Alice and I am 21 years old. I live in Worksop and i have a lot of experience working with children. I have my own DBS which is on the update service and a Level 3 Diploma in working with children and young families.
I have a lot of experience with working with children, I have five years experience of baby sitting two children at their homes every tuesday night. The children i babysat were two girls and when i first started the youngest was three and the oldest was five. I cooked the girls tea, bathed them, washed their hair, watched films with them, played games with them outside in all weathers, looked after their two rabbits and one dog. I would get them ready for bed and check on them every hour while they were asleep.
I have worked a in two day care nurseries for over three years. Here i where I provided a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the setting. I would plan and observe Key Children to enable them to reach their full potential. I worked within a team and liaise with parents and other professional agencies such as social servicers, physiotherapist, health visitors and the police. I also worked on a one to one basis with a child with global delay and autism. I had many duties and responsibilities as a nursery practitioner and within my role I needed to be a quick-thinking team player and was able to resolve disputes with tact, as well as developing the ability to cope with the unexpected and stay calm in a crisis. I supported the children with their Characteristics of Effective Learning. I am aware of all the safeguarding policies and procedures and understanding confidentiality.

Within the nursery, they had an after school club where i took children from 5-11 on trips and days out. I would collect them from school, make their tea, do their homework with them and have fun with a range of activities of their choice.

I currently work at a children's centre where i planning and deliver sessions for 0-5’s and their families who are at risk of poor outcomes, through effective outreach services, based on the analysis of local need. I interact and help improve the children’s development throughout the sessions. I observe the children’s development to create next steps of learning.

I have a full time job where i work monday to friday 8:30am-4:30pm I am happy to work in any role after those times as a baby sitter or part time care. I would love to do full time care in the parents home as long as it matched or was more than the wage i am on now.
