About me:

I'm Charlie, I'm 23, and I've loved children for as long as I can remember! I find children particularly easy to talk to and that they warm to me easily.
I am a fun-loving person, I attended extra-curricular stage school for 6 years so I love playing along with children's imaginations. I am creative, I enjoy painting and crafting in my spare time.
I have plenty of stamina, both mentally and physically. I'm tolerant and patient with children of different ages and abilities, with the ability to remain calm and unflappable under pressure.
From working with children in a professional environment I have a great knowledge of health and safety issues and the importance of following appropriate policies and procedures to ensure that each child’s needs are met. I also clearly understand the importance of confidentiality and discretion, relating to both the child and their family. Whilst I am fun-loving and bubbly, I will always remain professional, conscientious and respectful of each family's individual needs.

I have a clean UK driving licence and my own car, and I would be happy to take your child/children out often. I will also be happy to care for any pets you have. I can cater to any dietary requirements your child may have, and have taken training in Food Preparation, Hygiene and Safety so am aware of the correct procedures regarding allergens.

In September 2018 I completed a British Red Cross First Aid Course for babies and children. DBS available too.

My experience:

Whilst I am new to nannying, for the last 5 years I have worked in restaurants and tourist attractions as a children's party host and “School Visit” host. The latter involved managing a group of around 30 Primary school children, and organising a practical lesson. I am patient, understanding and sympathetic to children's different abilities. This also included disciplining children where necessary, managing levels of excitement and discouraging naughty behaviours in a professional manner. I can balance firm, fair and fun. I am pro-active and naturally like to go above the call of duty, so wherever possible I loved ensuring children's experiences were personalised, and I loved thinking of new ways to inspire learning for children of different abilities.
