Layla, nanny - SA43 Llechryd

My name is Layla.I have been a mother for over 20 years, with two children of my own and my partner has four.
I have N.V.Q level 3 in child care, and can update clean D.B.S check , I have a paediatric first aid certificate, and have been registerd by C.I.S.S.W and can renew if needed. I have done a child protection course, managing behaviour along with lots of other relevant courses from when I was a long term foster carer. I have worked in a local nursery, from time to time run art and craft work-shops for children in schools and at various events.
I have had lots of experience working with children, I am happy to play, do outdoor and messy activities as I believe these are all important when learning through play.
My favourite age of child to work with is baby/pre-school age although I have experience in all ages. I also have lots of twin experience.
I am honest, trust worthy kind and fair and fun.
I wouldn't say I am an amazing chef, though we do cook all our food at home from scratch, so I can cook (I have done a healthy eating course too, but was already aware of what a healthy meal is).
My youngest child is now 19 so I can be reasonably flexible as an employee.
I have been a private nanny for the past 3 years to a local family with a specal needs child, they have now moved away, but are happy to provide references.
When I am not looking after or playing with children I love to do arts and crafts, I have many hobbies such as stained glass, mosaic, painting etc. I also like walking, in woods or on mountains, going to the beach, canoeing down the Tivy (the local river), all with a picnic and family and friends. I love camping, going to the theatre, live music and a good movie or book. I also make large Willow/organic sculptures.
I can do house work too; although I do lots of it, it’s not one of my favourite activities.
I regret that I am not a driver.
