Layla, nanny in Scarborough

My name is Layla . I am a 19 year old girl from Scarborough, United kingdom. I grew up in Spain and I am now fluent in the language as we moved there when I was only 5 years old, my mother toungue language is English. I went to a Spanish school and made my own family of friends over there who helped me learn the language correctly, From a young age I used to help my sister babysit for her friends children and I really enjoyed it, when we moved back to England I decided to go to college to study Childcare as i enjoy working with children so much! during the course I learnt that there is so much about working with children and it was amazing, I learnt about observing their development and planning age and stage appropriate activities for them to learn and develop in all areas, i learnt that play is so important to them and a way of learning and talking to them to improve their communication skills is a key. I worked over 800 hours with children aged 0-6 years in both a day nursery and a primary school as a student and in the course I gained knowledge on how to work with parents professionally and how to build a trusting relationship with both the children and the parents and how to respect confidentiality at all times. I have got a DBS police check, aCACHE level 3 diploma i childcare, first Aid qualification, a safeguarding qualification and lots of other certificates!
When I finished my college course I decided to go to Spain to become a private nanny! I like to think that I am a fun person to be around, I am full of energy and exitement and always plan new things (indoors and outdoors) I love to make children laugh and love to hear their stories and play games with them. I like to see myself as a big sister to them and look after them.
When I came back to England I worked in a day nursery where I had key children and was in charge of their development too, I have worked there for 7 months covering maternity cover and I loved every minute of it. I am now looking for a nanny/babysitting job.
