Angela, nanny in Sleaford

BACKGROUND -I have a diverse background starting my working life in the military then having a family and have worked in education and training most of my life which had strong administration roles attached to them, as most teaching schemes of work, timetables, lessons and confidential documents. I like to work in education and training and also enjoy health and social care work with a special interest in SEND/EBD.
I have also project managed opening a business from start which is now being run by a family member which piqued an interest in funding, careers guidance, work experience and apprenticeships.

WORK EXPERIENCE - Tutor/Instructor Non Residential - September 2005 to September 2013 On the Senior Management Team and SENCO where I led a team of 13 Teaching Assistants, and timetabled staff deployment to support students on the SEN register, I also carried out all aspects of performance management at St Georges Academy Ruskington Site. Working closely with outside agencies organising LAC/ TAC reviews. Arranging visits from professional agencies regarding safe guarding issues. I also trained staff on ASD, visual aids and other bespoke courses when required. • Teaching Art, D&T, English, History and Geography, BTEC Health & Social Care and RE/PHSE classes to a wide range of age and ability levels at KS3 & KS4. • Participating in the development of appropriate syllabuses, materials and schemes of work in all subject areas to meet the National Curriculum. • Ability to create, plan and develop interesting differentiated learning material across all subjects. • Apply effective behaviour management techniques. • Deliver lessons to a high standard as determined by Ofsted, As part of the student development, I was monitoring progress, report writing, meeting parents/carers and attending extracurricular events. • Organised and managed trips and used innovative teaching methods to engage students, including group interaction, ICT and hands on projects. • Carry out compulsory duties including cover supervisor and run a lunch club and general patrolling of school grounds on designated days. • Follow safeguarding regulations.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE -Tutor/Instructor St Georges Academy - Sleaford Westholme - September 2005 to September 2013 Responsibilities I taught a range of subjects Art, Drama/English, History, Health & Social Care. I was also the Student Support Officer and Special Educational Needs Co-coordinator and the site Education Welfare Officer. In these roles I carried out the preparation and delivery of all lessons, co-ordinated staff timetable to meet the students’ needs and monitored and recorded attendance and behaviour school wide. Accomplishments I digitised the paper system and created a safe caring teaching environment.

POST REDUNDANCY - Whilst setting up the Beauty Salon I worked as a Supply Teacher with Mana Education, from May to present day, previously having completed a 6 month contract at Boston PRU as the KS3 teacher across the curriculum I was managing students with EBD with great success seeing the students move on to their next provision. I have been on long term/continuous supply to 3 schools in Lincolnshire.
