My name is Angie, I have a Joint Hons degree in Early Years and Childhood Studies and until recently I was working as a Childminder in Newcastle, but since moving to South Shields I have taken a job as an Early Years Practitioner, however, I find I am really missing the freedom and spontaneity of childminding/nannying. I am a very caring and nurturing person and I love to engage with the outdoor environment. As a childminder I engaged with the local community by attending toddler groups, soft-play, children's centres and took advantage of our local cultural amenities with frequent visits to the Laing Art Gallery, the Discovery Museum and the Great North Museum. When the weather is good enough I like nothing better than to pack a picnic and spend most of the day in one of our beautiful parks, beaches, community farms etc. I love arts and crafts and any kind of messy play and especially love to see children express themselves freely in this way.
