Jessie, nanny - SS1 Southend-on-sea

My name is Jess! I am 23 and live in Southend-On-Sea.

I am an enthusiastic, fun and outgoing individual. I ensure that i provide enjoyable activities for children to learn and develop, in a fun, silly and active way!
I enjoy arts and crafts and dont mind getting messy! I appreciate day trips/ outdoor play and believe this encourages children to explore and learn whilst playing and having lots of fun!

I have my level three early years qualification, I have a current DBS check and have expired paediatric first aid certificate; which will be renewed if a job in childcare is found! I am always enthusiastic and willing to do any extra training/ courses to better my knowledge and improve the care I provide.

I have worked within childcare for 4/5 years (regularly babysitting for around 8 years)
This includes working in a nursery, as a childminders assistant and as a nanny!
Within the nursery I worked in all rooms with all ages ranging from four months to four years old. I then worked as an after school club leader, working with children aged four to nine years old.

I also worked with various ages as a childminders assistant. As well as learning many home-based skills when working with children; including: Cooking, cleaning, care routines and organising fun activities for children throughout the day. A school drop off, pick up and school communications was also included within this job role.

As a nanny this provides a more one-to-one approach to childcare! I personally preferred this to ensure all attention and effort can be put into one/several children in one family! Giving a more familiar and safe feel for the child. My job role included daily household tasks as well as caring for the child. Ensuring safety is a focus, as well as a fun and education experience. I also attended childcare groups and different social events.

All my experience working with children also gives me a very good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and the ability to plan and carry out observations to encourage childrens learning and development when needed. As well as the ability to provide safe, effective and fun care!
