Hi my name is Joanne. I have worked with children and their families for over 9 years now. I have always wanted to work with children as it is a very fun and rewarding job. I am a caring, energetic, organised, hardworking and trustworthy person.

I enjoy being in the outdoors and bringing learning which would usually be done indoors out. I am a very creative person who loves creative and sensory activities that help children explore through all their senses.

I enjoy cooking and believe children thrive best on good nutritious home cooked meals.
I have worked with children between 8 weeks and 14 years old. I have worked in various different job roles in different settings such as houses, nurseries, schools, holiday clubs, and children's wards. I am currently the manager of a nursery setting but I want a job where I can work more closely with children and their families. This is because from my experience and caring personality I believe working with children to form close bonds and support them to develop is the career I want to pursue. As a nursery manager I am a very organised person use to juggling many different duties.

I structure children's daily routines around their interests and developmental needs, incorporating sensory play, creativity, music and movement, social experiences, baking, construction and outdoor experiences. I love the outdoor environment and enjoy regular walks.

I am highly trained on areas of development that children need to progress in and supported a lot of children in developing their learning to make sure they are school ready. I am also able to support children though different developmental milestones such as weaning, toilet training, developing independence to progress though daily life, etc.I support children though positive reinforcement and set clear boundaries to develop good manners and social skills.
