Kirsty, nanny - SY1 Shrewsbury

I am a qualified nursery nurse at NVQ Level 3. I have worked at three nurseries, Twyford Tots Nursery, Sunflower House nursery & Childrensworld Cressage. During the 6 years in childcare I have proven to be very popular with the children I have cared for, I worked with a group of up to 16 children a day with other staff and I was a key worker for 8 children. I was responsible for ensuring that all of the children’s basic care needs were met, whilst also developing plans within the team to ensure developmental needs were met. I also worked closely with the child’s parents keeping them informed of the child’s progress and any incident’s that occur during the day.
During the time I have worked at the Nurseries I have developed my practice and learnt a lot of new skills and had many experiences. I feel that I have been able to develop positive relationships with both parents and the children.

I can be available at weekends if needed occassionally.

I also have a Teaching Assistant Supporting and Learning NVQ Level 3 Qualification. Class on a Monday day time, I did a work placement at a school in Prees, Lower Heath Primary School. (Church of England School.) I have gained many skills and opportunities here. I worked in the reception but also have had experience working with the year 1 and 2 classes.

I am now very interested in either becoming a nanny or setting up my own childminding buisness.
