I have worked in childcare since leaving school I gained NVQ 2 by completing an apprenticeship in a day care setting. From this I have then worked in other day care settings gaining further experiences and an NVQ 3! 5 years ago I decided I wanted to complete a foundation degree I chose to work in a primary school nursery so I could be part time and study from this it's taken me 4 years to have achieved a BA honours in childhood studies and special needs! I have lots of experience in planning, keeping records and managing staff, I have good organisational skills and time keeping. Two years ago I was promotoed to a senior member of staff! I feel that I have come as far as I can within nurseries and I'm ready to have a slight career change I have always made good relationships with both parents and children and feel that being a nanny would still allow me to fulfill these relationships and gain further experiences with in the childcare sector. I would prefer to care for a younger child or children as this is where I feel I can make a difference and watch your babies flourish with the right love and care along with stimulated activities throughout their day.
