Megan, nanny in Timperley

Hello, My Name is Megan Daly, I am currently 17 years old going to be 18 years old at the end of November and i am very excited to start my career being a nanny. I feel that there is no better feeling than helping children develop and explore to their potential with the guidance from my knowledge, understanding and skills. I enjoying doing many activities with children including baking, as baking gives the children a chance to explore new textures and enjoy the feeling of pride when they present their master pieces. I live in Trafford at the moment and i am willing to relocate. At the moment i work a 40 hour week over 4 days so i am used to long hours. I occasionally help out a mother by looking after her 3 children aged 1-9 years old whilst she has some mummy time and runs errands. I cant wait to hear from you.

My Experience
For the past year i have been working as part of a team in a Childminders setting, which has enabled me to grow my knowledge understanding and skills. The most enjoyable part of my job is watching the children explore and experience new senses. From the age of 12 i have been volunteering with children i helped out with my local Rainbows unit which involved me using my imagination to create activities for the children to do for example model building, many of these activities included working as a team and using their imagination. I also volunteered at my local running group, i helped out in the year 5 group, where i helped the children believe in their potential by using positive rewards and encouragement. I enjoy living an active life (from the age of 7 i ran in cross country races) i go on runs and long walks with my 2 dogs, i also enjoy making the activities i do with the children active and fun. I believe that children learn a lot from being in the outdoors.
