Dear Parent,
I believe that having two children gives me all the experience I'll ever need as a nanny :) but of course that is not all I have.
After I had my children (they are aged 6 & ) I wanted to give them the best possible care, I wanted to know more about how to bring them up to become confident, independent and more importantly happy individuals. I went back to college and gained 2 qualifications: "Child Development SCQF Level 6" and "Psychology SCQF Level 5". To put all the knowlegdge to the test I volunteered at my sons nursery as a support worker for 6 months. After we moved to Torquay I started volunteering at my kids' primary school and have been working there as a KS1 teaching assistant ever since (3 years now), which also means that I am DBS checked. I can provide excellent references from the deputy head teacher if needed.
For the last 2 years I have also looked after a 6 years old little girl on a regular basis - one afternoon every week - whose mum can also give me excellent references.
I am caring, loving and very patient with children. I believe that their behaviour reflects my own so as long as I show them kindness that is what I'll get back from them.
I would be happy to discuss my references and terms at your convenience. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind Regards
Mariann
