I have recently relocated to Northern Ireland and am looking for babysitting/childcare work.
I am Paediatric First Aid qualified, including Anaphylaxis Awareness and Auto Injector.
I have over a years of experience as a Children's Coach at David Lloyd Leisure Centre working with children from 4 months - 14 years. My responsibilities within this role included taking a variety of sport and creative activities, classes such as Make and Create, Multi Sports, Imagine, Mini Soccer. The wide variety of classes I taught during my time at David Lloyd provided me with a wide range of knowledge, such as developing a child’s interest in activities encourages the child’s physical and emotional wellbeing. For babies and small children the development of basic co-ordination skills comes with the ability to move around freely, observe and role play with other children and adults. As for toddlers, play is all-important - it is their first step into sport and exercise activity later in life.
As part of my Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh I volunteered at Blackwell Montessori, helping support and supervise children of a pre school age and also children from four to nine years who attended the after school club. I also spent a week volunteering at Blackwell First School for my work experience, which also helped to develop a strong work ethic, being self-motivated and flexible expanding my experience of working with young children and adults.
During my studies at A level I was keen to continue working with young children. My employment at David Lloyd as kids coach has reinforced my desire to persue a career in early childhood studies. This position has developed my skills in leading and supervising children’s activities in promoting a healthy lifestyle. This role has evolved over the last few months as I now also work in the crèche facilities at David Lloyd where I have cared for younger children from 4 months-4 years.
I also have some experience childminding for a private childminder which included managed activities, play-time and also cooking food for the children.
I am a friendly and caring person, happy to help out around the house and supervise homework. I am completely flexible with the days and hours I can work.
