Maxine, nanny - WR1 Worcester

Over the last 7 years I have had great pleasure in babysitting for four different families with children varying in age from 1-12. One of which is severely mentally disabled and she needs extra special attention at all times which requires me to be on the ball constantly. I also take them out on day trips to places like the zoo, swimming or even shopping.
11 GCSE including Maths, English, German, French, Science double award, Media studies, Geography, Food technology, Religious studies and ICT. I also have key skills level 2 in communication skills and a BTEC National Diploma in Health and Social care and NVQ Level 2 in business and administration.

Little Growbags Nursery – March 2011 – December 2011
Whilst working here I was based in baby room which I thoroughly enjoyed. Whilst working in this room I had to undertake a lot of responsibilities in helping young babies settle in and help them to develop skills such as walking and talking. My main duties were nappy changing, feeding, help settle them to sleep. I had 8 key children for these children I had to fill in profiles for each of them by using the EYFS.

During my time at the above nurseries I have looked after children from 6 months to 5 years of age doing general nursery nurse duties.

London Road Nursery – January 2010 – August 2010
I worked full time as London Road Nursery school in Worcester. Whilst I worked here I was mainly based in pre-school room but now and again I was in all the rooms. I did main duties for a nursery assistant such as nappy changing, help with food times and join in with activities.
Experience during college – September 2007 – July 2009
I spend one school year at Cranham School where I helped pupils with reading, joined in with their physical education lessons. During my time there I helped with difference activities i.e. art, cooking, as well as working closely with some of the parents. I used to enjoy joining the children during lunchtime in the playground.
Another one of my work experiences was spend at Albany Nursery where I sat with the children during all the variety of activities including arts and craft, cooking, playtime and I interacted with them during reading sessions. I offered any help to the teachers when needed.
I have also spent time at New College Worcester for the blind where I spend time in one of the houses, which accommodate the live in students on the grounds of the college. During my time I helped teenagers with general day-to-day activities. Each week we took the children to different activities, horse riding, swimming or even shopping.
