I am a caring, hardworking and punctual individual that would like a job working with others. I am 20 currently years old.
I am currently on a deferred year from studying Midwifery, meaning i have plenty of experience working in a fast paced environment whilst under stress. Studying this course means that I have knowledge of working with newborns and other children, along with basic first aid skills (including CPR) and knowledge on the importance of matters such as infection control. Although the year taught me a great deal, I have decided to pursue other career options to help me make a clearer decision about my future.
Before joining University, I have previous experience working in a retail environment. Responsibilities varied from providing customer service to handling money and flowing out stock. I have enjoyed working as part of a large team and in the retail sector, however I feel the need to find something more rewarding.
Additionally, I have achieved Health and Social Care qualifications, up to A-level standard. Therefore, despite not having any specific childcare qualifications, I have plenty of knowledge on the individual and how to provide effective care. Also, I have GCSE level Catering and Food and Nutrition.
Ideally, I am looking for around 30 hours a week close to home, but would consider other options in order to gain some experience. I would need to give my current workplace 2 weeks notice.
