As well as providing the children with free play time, I like to incorporate more set activities that will stimulate their education. I like to keep a record of their progress using journals; this not only gives the children something to look back on in future years as a reminder of the fun we had, but also provides parents with the assurance that I'm engaging with them and providing them with activities.
