I would love to be able to help a family with their day to day routine by assisting children in homework or helping round the house. Which would then take the weight off of the children's main care givers shoulders a little so they can appreciate the time they get out of work with their children more. I have many planned activities for all different ages and abilities and could put them into place whilst focusing on the child's specific skills and interests. Unfortunately I can't drive as of yet but can walk or catch buses where necessary. When I was 6 my step brother was born and when I was 7 and 8 years old my step sisters were born so from a young age I watched and helped with the development of my siblings. When I was in high-school I went to a playschool for my two week work experience then in the summer holidays I did my paper round, worked at a chipshop at the weekend and volunteered at an SEN school to keep busy it was so rewarding. I thrived in childcare so much I went on to do a 2 year diploma in children's care learning and development which also included 1000 voluntary hours working with children from 4months right up until they leave for high-school. Then I went on to do a year's degree in education and childhood studies which unfortunately wouldn't have given me the qualified teacher status I needed. So, before I became a landlady for 3 years, I worked at a playgroup for over a year and had 12 of my own key children.
Occasional babysitting | 7,50 € per hour |
Partial / after-school care | 5,00 € per hour |
I would prefer to talk to the parents/ guardians regarding what they are will to pay in comparison with what I want as childcare is expensive enough.
