My name is Bisma, I have been working in an nursery for over a year and just love working with children!
I never get bored when I'm around children, you get so much back from them. My favourite thing about working with them is when they laugh - you can't help but smile and laugh with them.
I think working with children is definitely rewarding. Most children and young people have a natural curiosity, a sense of wonder and enthusiasm for play and learning, which has a positive effect on all those who work with them. Also, they need to be encouraged and supported by people who bring the same enthusiasm to these experiences as they have. In addition, childcare workers need to have good interpersonal skills, such as patience, a friendly manner, and the ability to communicate with children, young people, colleagues and other adults such as parents and carers.
